In  2019 it was given through the unction of the spirit to give the church a new name. The Lord began to show our leader, Pastor Tavarius Hook, 1 John 2:20, "But ye have an unction from the Holy One and ye know all things." As the Lord begins to take us higher and set us on a new course, he said from now on you will be called Living In the Unction Ministries.

it is apparent that the hand of God is upon this man's life. At times, God moves upon him in such a unique way.

Through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God has anointed Elder Hook and placed a mandate upon his life to empower kingdom citizens to become agents of change in the earth.

Elder Hook favorite scripture:

Lamentations 3:21-22 This I recall to mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Linda Hook, Pastor Emeritus

Pastor Emeritus Linda Hook was born June 17, 1970 to Mr. William And Mrs. Harolene McKenzie. She has three children, Vincent Hook Jr., Elder Tavarius Hook (Chelsea Hook), Katlynn Hook, and one granddaughter Carla Hook. Pastor Emeritus further her education by attending South Carolina State University. She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of 20 and was baptized again by her son (Elder Tavarius Hook) in 2017 upon receiving the revelation of the Baptism in Jesus Name. She was called into ministry in 2003 and ordained by the Late Bishop B. Davis and the the Late Bishop Harold E. Pauls as Pastor of Rome Street Holiness Church.

Pastor Linda Hook is a remarkable unique anointed woman who is devoted to God and continue to follow the vision that he has given her. Her greatest desire is that people everywhere be saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the spirit give utterance and baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of their sins. She also desires to help young people fine their purpose in life and let them know that God can help them in any situation; their circumstances is God’s opportunity to work in their lives.

Her mission is to challenge, provoke, and inspire change in the lives of those that God has placed in her pathway; and to uncover the strongholds of the enemy. She has been given a special anointing to minister to young people who are hurting and women who have been broken hearted. She has also created and participated in several outreach ministries throughout South Carolina. She started a youth group at Rome Street Holiness Church that has been a blessing to the younger generation. Pastor Emeritus Linda Hook has a heart for the people.

Thank God she does not have to labor alone, God has sent help to the ministry as he promised he would. Upon obeying the voice of God and through much prayer, she has passed the torch of Pastoral ship to her son Elder Tavarius Hook on June 9th, 2018 to take the ministry forward into the next dimension God has destined for it to go. According to God’s word as scripture teaches the importance of passing the baton from one generation to another. This is clearly seen in Moses passing the baton to Joshua, David to Solomon, Elijah to Elisha, Jesus to His disciples, and Paul to Timothy. It is not enough to run the race. We also pass our mission to the next generation. We must hand off the baton at the right time and must do it well. Jesus handed the baton to His disciples, they ran a good race and passed the baton to the next generation. Timothy received the baton from Paul and was instructed to pass it on to others (2 Timothy 2:2).

Pastor Emeritus Linda Hook continues to serve and work in the ministry as a Shepard mother empowering those she comes in contact with by the anointing that is on her life. Pastor Emeritus Linda Hook motto is, “I’ll Go If I Have to Go By Myself.”
